My students need a video camera to create video podcasts. We have seen it done by other schools and I believe it will be a great learning experience for my students.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For years many students around the country have showed the world the wonderful work they have produced through the use of video podcasts. At our school we have not been able to try this yet. I would love to provide this experience for my students.
The students that I have the pleasure of working with are hungry for knowledge even if they don't always ask for it.
I serve in a school in an under-privileged community. The fact of the matter is that the more we can get these students engaged in their own learning, the more they will show faces of amazement as they realize that they can really enjoy the work necessary to improve their knowledge base.
My Project
My students will have an opportunity to video tape their completed work and/or conduct interviews and use the footage they shoot to create a video podcast with the Canon Camcorder and memory card. The students can showcase their work as they narrate what they have accomplished and show off their newly learned skills in the art of video editing in the production of a video podcast with a narrated voice-over.
