This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are one of the youngest grades in the school. Normally we come to school, have breakfast, then sit in our morning meeting before we start the day of learning. Now we pick up breakfast 2 times a week for the entire week and work on our packets of work with our family members if they are available.
Our district is going to try to go more digital with our learning for the next two months.
My Project
Can you imagine going to Pre K online? Welcome to 2020. The crazy corona "pause" has me scrambling for ways to create interactive fun lessons for my Pre K students.
As a district we are going more digital learning at all levels, doing virtual meets and assignments.
I would love to be able to do a morning meeting and a dismissal or noon meeting with my students so they get to see familiar faces throughout this time of isolation. The meetings would be quick and just sing our songs and practice our work. With a MacBook Pro, I would also be able to create videos for students to watch to learn what we should be learning whenever they have time. There is no way to know what the technology status is for each of the students, so having prerecorded videos will be extremely helpful for some of the students.
