Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will allow me to teach my student how to grow their own victory gardens and food. We will be covering World War 1 and World War 2 soon and I would like to incorporate war time practiced into my classroom, like growing your food when civilians had to ration theirs during war times. This is also an important life skill to learn.

This project would also benefit our up-and-coming school restaurant.

With veggie beds already built these plants will be transplanted into the school's garden, hopefully giving the kitchen staff a fresh source of veggies they can use!
