Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are best described as young people with big emotions that need to be heard and validated.
I am a support teacher and a case manager for special education students with emotional disturbances or behavior challenges.
I support a caseload of students, but I also travel into other teachers classrooms to help them give accommodations and strategies to best support kids.
My students usually come from lower economic backgrounds and have had personal issues that have affected their well being. My students are generally very emotional with huge hearts that they can't always understand themselves. They require patience and understanding.
My Project
During this very difficult time, it has been an adventure to find quality virtual materials. I will use this program as a way to help engage and challenge my special education students during small group pullouts. I will use the printable materials to create packets to send home with my kids that need tangible paper packets to be successful.
My students are all different grades and all different levels, so I will use study.com to help accommodate and differentiate for all my students.
I think this will help streamline some of their material.
