My Project
Can you imagine a drab, colorless first grade classroom? That's not the way it's supposed to be! Primary classrooms are vibrant places with posters and letters and activities all in color. As a first grade teacher, I am always working and looking for ways to create a motivating, engaging, lively, and colorful environment. I want my students to love school and look forward to coming every day.
My students need a color printer/copier with extra ink to create appealing posters and charts, and help bring their critical thinking to life!
Our school has always had second language learners. My students benefit from activities which teach and reinforce phonics skills as they increase their comfort in English. Color copies and stations can make this more engaging.
I had a color printer for years that finally gave its all. My district is no longer providing color printers for the teachers as they have in the past. I print many things at home but also find the need to have items available for students as we move through our day. We are using these materials together to create resources around the room that are accessible to all learners through words and colorful pictures. Color printing is cost prohibitive, but 6-year-old students learn best when they have colorful, stimulating resources. The printer/copier will help me to provide student work, posters and and whatever we need for a successful year. Thank you for your support of my students and classroom!
