This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The Donors Choose community has been so kind to my students and me this year, although sometimes, I admit, it is just easier to go out and buy snacks, pencils, tissue, and paper towels on my own. I don't mind doing this for my students but it means I can't afford to purchase things that I need. This Teacher Appreciation Week, please help me purchase items that I need to be more efficient at my job!

Dual monitors are so helpful when grading essays on one screen and recording feedback or grades on a second screen.

Although my school was able to dig a monitor out of storage for me, the picture is fuzzy and it requires bulky adapters.

Additionally, the laptop the district gave me has a faulty touch pad. Although I can usually make due with the touch screen, the device becomes unusable if I am hooked up to the display panel in the classroom which relies entirely on the ability to use the track pad. The wireless mouse I have asked for would allow me to bypass the faulty track pad and still display my laptop on the panel.

Thank you for showing some love to a veteran teacher who spends the $$ that should go towards her own needs on her students.
