This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am hoping to create an Eric Carle themed classroom for my students this year.
Eric Carle’s books, such as *The Very Hungry Caterpillar* and *Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?*, are beloved and accessible early texts.
A classroom themed around his work:
* Encourages early literacy and print awareness.
* Creates excitement around books and storytelling.
* Helps children associate reading with joy and creativity.
An Eric Carle-themed classroom supports the whole child — cognitively, emotionally, socially, and creatively — by building on beloved stories that naturally align with early childhood learning goals. It’s not only educational but also magical, memorable, and developmentally meaningful.
