Vertical Spaces for Collaborative Thinking

Help me give my students three mobile dry erase boards and markers for collaboration spaces.

My Project

Today's students need opportunities to be up and moving and talking with their peers about their learning. These white boards will give me more spaces to allow students to work together.

Collaboration can help students acquire new knowledge, improve relationships, build self-esteem, learn leadership skills and practice self-management.

Students will be able to experience a variety of learning scenarios while gathering with their classmates around these boards. They can solve word problems in math, collect data in science, share insights about their reading and so much more.

The other benefit of these boards is that students do not need to be in their seat. So many of my students crave movement. Working in groups at these white boards will give them the opportunity for movement. Movement in the classroom has been proven to reduce stress, improve retention of new material, improve focus, etc.

These white boards will do SO much to improve the learning climate in my classroom. I can't wait to bring them in and help my students continue to grow academically, socially and mentally!
