This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello donors,

Students in my class are currently learning all about urban farming and gardening, and are attempting to germinate seeds to create their own vertical garden.

The supplies listed will provide them with the opportunity to create their own community garden in the classroom.

The students will be learning about vertical gardening and why its so important. The hope is that we can produce usable food options to help students who are struggling with access to fresh fruit and vegetables.

The garden created in class will be maintained by students, with a closed watering system. They will learn how the entire process from germination to fruit collection.
