This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are voracious readers, dedicated learners, and inquisitive, brave, resilient members of our campus community and the world. They are returning to the classroom and are eager to explore literature in new and engaging ways, while getting back to our roots of class work.

My Project

My students love reading and love working with their hands. VersaTiles from hand2mind will help combine the two and get them thinking in all new ways!

VersaTiles are one of my students' favorite activities in science, and they will love the opportunity to use such a great resource for reading.

We currently have a 5th grade literacy classroom set, which perfectly challenges my on-level students, but a 4th grade set would motivate my below-level learners to soar to new heights!

These days, my students are getting bored and tired of working on the computer, and they are craving unplugged activities to do. VersaTiles will help them take a screen break while still giving their brains a literacy workout! VersaTiles will be great for my fast finishers as well as for my friends who need some extra help.
