My Students

My students are full or energy and eager to learn. I have students in single parent homes, being raised by grandparents, and in foster care along with students in strong home environments with two parents supporting their home life and learning.

Some of my students have learning disabilities.

These disabilities include different degrees found on the autism spectrum; behavioral issues including ADHD; and some students with communication problems.

With Covid and illnesses making attendance inconsistent, I would love to have some fun hands-on learning VersaTile kits to assist in my students' learning whether it be at home or at school.

My Project

Whether at school or home, the use of VersaTiles and storage boxes will enhance and promote student learning in math, reading, social studies and science in an engaging and joyful way. It is easy to follow the directions and is a hands-on approach to learning. After some initial instructions, it will allow my first-graders to learn independently, have accountability for their learning, and learn at their individual level. What a great way to differentiate for a variety of learning needs and capabilities my group of diverse students require to be successful learners and to be ready for second grade!
