My students are creative and ask lots of questions. They have a desire to learn new things and challenge themselves. I teach both Kindergarten and First Grade. These primary grades need lots of hands-on activities.
My students are good at problem solving and not giving up, they are always looking for new ways to challenge themselves.
They amaze me by how quickly they pick up new concepts and implement them. This year we are using the Blended Learning model in our classroom. They are ready for any new challenge put in front of them. They are determined and are not easily discouraged. As they persevere, they are learning life skills everyday.
My Project
In my classroom this year we are incorporating Blended Learning. This allows students to work at their own pace to master the skills we are working on.
VersaTiles require the kids to problem solve and use critical thinking strategies.
I have requested both Kinder and First grade VersaTiles to meet the needs of all my students. They include a variety of math and literacy activities. They are able to be individualized to support each student on whatever standard they are struggling to master. They are also self correcting. This allows students to work independently or in small groups. They are able to be in control of their learning. These critical thinking activities will be a great extension for students who learn quickly, and reinforcement for students who may need to work more slowly. They will motivate and encourage all of my students to love learning.
