This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me provide books to my students that will be inspirational for them to learn about diversity. With these books my students can have an understanding that despite our many differences, all people share common feelings and aspirations. Those feelings can include, love, sadness, fear, and the desire for fairness and justice. I hope that through these books my students can gain a better understanding of both their own culture and the cultures of others. With these deeper knowledge, relationships can be strengthen , bridging the gap between students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
