My Project

I teach Spanish to 800 kids in my building grades kindergarten to eighth. My students are wonderful and they deserve the best, which I cannot give them at the moment due to lack of materials.

My students have not had a Spanish teacher who has lasted the entire year in over 3 years.

My mission is to not fail them. Because of this, they have yet to have a year where they have had meaningful learning in the Spanish classroom.

I walked in to students having no knowledge of Spanish, and outdated materials. I tried to make it so far by creating or finding things that I can teach them online, but all of the quality materials or worksheets cost money. I am struggling to create something cohesive, and am asking for five hundred dollars to use on a great Spanish program from teachers pay teachers called Somos. This will be used to create a Spanish program for the third through eighth graders, the younger students are working from a workbook I bought on Amazon, but any additional funds from the gift cards will be used to help build that curriculum for the younger scholars as well.
