This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard-working, creative, highly motivated, and diverse groups of learners. They come to school ready to learn, and I want to give them a safe, happy, and productive classroom.

I teach at a Title I school in Houston where ninety percent of the students receive free lunch.

Some of the students in my school participate in the Backpack Buddy program. My students are third-grade, English language learners. My students are eager to learn and do their best to make their parents, teachers, and school proud.

My Project

I am requesting funds to purchase Airheads, hand sanitizer, pencils, and toys. At my school we celebrate Valentine's Day and the 100th Day of School. I will like to provide them with a bag of goodies for each celebration. On Valentine's Day, students will learn about friendships, empathy, and gratitude. Students will learn about the importance of each of those topics. Students will have the opportunity to talk, draw, and write about it. On the 100th Day of School is an opportunity to rejoice in the classroom successes. I want my students to have a fun day of learning. Thank you for considering funding our project.
