I teach 5-8 year-olds with a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments in a District 75 school. I work in a 12:1:1 classroom with 12 students. My students are all classified with autism, and have various abilities. My students are fantastic, and with the right tools to fit their needs they will achieve everything possible. I make sure to create a comfortable, happy environment for my students in order for them to succeed. My students are amazing and they make me proud each day and make me happy to do what I do.
My Project
The printer and its accessories will be used in the classroom to create meaningful activities and communication board to facilitate communication with peers and classroom staff. The Thomas the train items will be use as a reward to motivate the student to complete the work necessary during the lesson. All these items will help us greatly and facilitate communication and peer to peer interaction.
Due to COVID our funding has been very limited so any contribution would help us greatly!!
Overall this project is made to help facilitate communication with peers and to Motivate the students to complete their work.
