My Project

Culturally, our students learn through observation and working with their hands. Their families make fishing nets, warm-weather clothing, and boots. This year we have unfortunately lost our Inupiaq art and sewing instructor. With your help, I would like to give our students the opportunity to practice their fine motor skills with intricate arts and crafts.

The sewing kits, painting, jewelry-making, and wooden projects are kid-friendly projects related to their cultural life activities.

The opportunity to have more arts and crafts in their classroom will allow our students to express their creativity and imagination, and promote togetherness and a sense of accomplishment with a finished project and a smile on their faces.
