This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the pleasure of supporting some wonderful Madrid students who are excited and willing to learn as much as possible, but they don't always have everything they need to truly be ready for learning each day.
This utility cart and bins will allow me to provide these students the basic items (like uniforms, toothbrushes, and other hygiene products) so each student can enter their classroom confident and ready to learn.
It will also provide them with the opportunity to learn about the connection between their physical needs and their mental health which will help them develop as stronger and more confident young men and women. Developing these skills and understanding this connection will truly have countless benefits for our mustangs..
Right now these items are placed wherever we have room, but this cart will allow us to provide an organized and functioning space so students can easily and possibly independently access what they need.
