Utility Cart for Teaching Outdoors During a Pandemic

My Students

My students are 6th graders at a Title I school in the Garden Grove Unified School District. Many of these children are second language learners and more than half are from low-income households.

This year I will also be mainstreaming students with special needs.

The students I will be mainstreaming are mostly on the autism spectrum.

My Project

This utility cart will be used to bring materials outside for teaching students during a global pandemic. I was able to get beach chairs funded through DonorsChoose so my students can sit outside 6 feet apart. This cart will help me as the teacher carry all of the items I need out of the classroom to an outdoor space on campus.

It will carry all of the technology I will need to instruct such as my laptop, the ELMO projection camera, an additional computer screen, all of my teacher's manuals, workbooks, and any materials I need to bring outside for the students that day.
