Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students like to demonstrate their learning by doing activities on-line. When they complete their assignment, the computer gives them their results. My students are competitive and like score high, the students would compare notes with other students to see if they received a higher or lower score. If a student received a 100% or new certificate we would celebrate as a class by giving the winning student two claps.

For example, a student would announce, Mrs. Greer, I completed an assignment by receiving 3 minutes to do a game activity.

I would say, two claps and the class would clap two times.

My Project

Wifi is an inexpensive way to use technology. The acer laptop chosen for the class will allow my students to have a greater access to the program Mobymax.com. Mobymax.com provides data for the students, parents and teachers to demonstrate their basic skills for reading or math.

For example, when a student takes the pre-test for reading and math, Mobymax's data will show if the student is on PreK-8th grade reading level.

Then Mobymax will provide basic skills activities for the student to practice. When the student practices daily, Mobymax will provide certificates of completion. Students will receive data that will show how many certificates received and will be rewarded game activities based on the amount of certificates.
