This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students learn best when they gather their own data and make it their own. This is why getting PocketLab Sensors will help make our math class more interactive. With the PocketLab Sensors, I will be able to incorporate weather data into my Math lessons. Students will use weather data they gathered to learn about mean, median, mode, range, and interquartile range. They will create graphs, box plots, and coordinate planes to analyze and predict weather patterns, as they apply their Math skills.

Math and Weather(science) do not have be taught in isolation!

This is why the Pocket Lab sensors are going to make Math fun and engaging. My students will master mathematical concepts, while learning about weather.

Please help me make learning about median, mode, mean, range fun while using weather data!
