My Students

I teach technology in a rural area of Ohio. Our school has a high number of students that require for free and/or reduced lunch. Students get to learn and explore technology once a week in a computer lab setting with me.

Students are always so eager to learn new technology advances but some of our equipment is used so much it no longer works correctly.

Students can't hear unless they have headphones and many of our headphones only half way work or do not work at all.

My Project

I need to have a new set of classroom headphones for my classes to use during their computer lab time. Currently our computers do not play sound unless we have headphones so this is a must for our lab. We currently have headphones but most only have one side that works or do not work all the time.

Every student in our building uses the computer lab at least twice a week so the headphones are used very often.

It is critical that students have headphones so they can use the technology curriculum that supports their academic learning. This gift would be a gift that would continue to be used by all students in our school for years to come.
