We are surrounded by technology! My students would benefit in the real world later, if technology could be used to enhance their learning today.
My second grade students are full of life!
They are an amazing bunch of energetic children who want nothing more than to have fun learning with their friends. They are apart of a school in Hawaii, whose population is at least 50 percent military. These students are always excited to learn something new.
My Project
I am hoping to get a media cart that will safely hold my technology equipment such as my projector, Ladibug Projector, laptop, and speakers. This media cart will encourage my students and me to use technology in the classroom more often. We will be able to watch educational videos, use adequate Internet resources to further our learning, and even create exciting assignments that meet our grade level expectations.
With the small classroom that we have, this media cart will create a safer area for the children as we gather for group discussions and lessons.
It will also increase instructional time with the students, as oppose to using that time to set up and organize the equipment and materials needed for the activity. With the exposure to technology, it will prepare the children for the challenges that they may be faced with in the future.
