Using STEM to Write and Learn

Help me give my students a technological learning opportunity while in independent time and when facilitating writing. The LCD writing tablets will be an excellent opportunity to integrate technology that the students would not normally receive at home

My Project

I teach a large Kindergarten classroom in a poverty-stricken urban area; these children are my heart and reason I teach. My goal is to provide different learning experiences and opportunities to my students who may not have the same opportunity at home. These opportunities include integrating technology and STEM into the classroom whenever possible; this includes integrating technological items into our curriculum that will engage the students and keep them wanting to learn.

Writing should not be just paper and pencil, but an engaging and inviting experience that will capture the learner's attention.

The LCD tablets will provide a engaging and risk-free writing opportunity, while enabling my little learners the means to write in a new technological feature.

The Magnatiles will be added to our independent time building area; the children love Magnatiles! With the Magnatiles, not only do children learn to assist each other, but also negotiate and compete against one another in creating structures.

The children learn about building structure, brace, and support systems that perhaps one day will be their future and career.
