Using Painting to Express Self, Community, and Aspirations
Help me give my students a variety of Liquid watercolor sets and a full gamut of acrylic mural paints so that they can explore self, community, and culture through the creativity of art techniques and processes.
We need watercolors and acrylic paint for our art room. Students from kindergarten through sixth grade need opportunities to explore who they are, where they are from, and where they are going. Our art room is a creative place where they can do just that. We explore ideas like how "life affects art" and how "art affects our lives" by exploring different artists, art styles, and art processes. Watercolor painting I a fantastic way to express our ideas for kindergarten and up. My students will learn techniques That will help them tell their stories through visual art. The sixth-grade class will use the mural paints to plan and create a legacy mural to communicate who we are as Hawks and ground us in the place we live and love. These murals will inspire future students to contribute positively to our community.
