Using Our Imagination to Create Our Very Own!

Help me give my students t-shirts and iron-on vinyl to make their very own 2021-2022 class t-shirts!

My Students

I am a fourth grade teacher at a Title I school in Virginia. We are a Pre-K through 8th grade building. Nearly 900 students call our school their home.

This year, instead of switching classes, I have the pleasure of having one class of 24 students all day.

This is a true pleasure as I really get to know the students better the more time I spend with them. Within the 24, some students are receiving special education services, some are English language learners, some are French students, and some are gifted learners.

For many of our students, school is more than just a place to learn. It is also a source of consistency and love. Some of our students have been through more in their young lives than most adults.

Norfolk is home to the largest naval base in the world. Many of our families are part of the military which means that many of our students have to deal with one or even both of their parents being on deployment for long periods of time.

I hope to provide the students with a safe and fun place to learn!

My Project

I currently teach the best fourth grade classroom around, hands down. The cherry on top? They truly love to create and come up with great projects. As we are moving into the new year, I would love nothing more than to be able to create an amazing team project for them to work on.

The materials listed in the project will be used to create their very own 2021- 2022 class t-shirt!

Another use for the Cricut materials would be for my class to create gifts for their parents near parent appreciation week. I always say that parents are teachers too, and we always celebrate them as being teachers. On top of having absolutely amazing students, the parents have made this whole school year enjoyable for me and the students.

My hope is to have the students use the vinyl to easily personalize gifts for their parents that will be loved and treasured forever. Help my class think it, design it, and make it!
