Science changed my life and I hope it changes their lives.
This is a group of 24 creative, innovative and imaginative individuals who love to build, experiment, fail, tinker and create. These kids are blessed with the opportunity to change the world through science.
They are the STEM engineers of the future. These students are ready to be stewards of the earth and ready to make changes to help better Wailuku town.
My Project
Wailuku, Maui has been growing in population. I, myself, am a transplant from Oahu and with the increasing prices in housing on Oahu more people will seek homes on other islands in Hawaii.
The students of Wailuku Elementary are affected by the growth in homes being built and people moving into their neighborhood.
A new school has already been built in our area to alleviate the growth in population.
The students will be using the DJI Phantom 3 Drones to help document, record and map out the growth of homes above Wailuku Elementary and see if the there will be an impact on traffic, the environment and the children of Maui.
We have been gifted with a used Phantom 3 Drone to practice flying with but we need one with a working camera to actually document and take pictures.
Drones are important technology in the world today and the students will get first hand usage of a drone and learn how to operate it and use it to its fullest ability.
