This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The markers and crayons needed will be used to give students the opportunity to create beautiful art pieces in collaboration to their writing. Unit 1 is all about Identity, they will write 2 short stories about people who influenced their identity. Unit 2: We are reading I am Alfonso Jones, I want to have students create podcasts and posters that explain and explore the deeper issues that are identified in the graphic novel. Through the careful consideration of your investment, students will be able to use artistic means to gain a deeper understanding of the texts.
