My Students
My students are so excited to start getting hands-on STEAM experiences in our new Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.
The students are curious and creative, imaginative and innovative.
I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.
My Project
Our students can earn rewards and add to their classroom bank accounts for good behavior, as well as for completing homework on time, and through rotating classroom jobs. These rewards and accounts can be used to purchase items, such as special moments with the teacher or principal, treats, the ability to perform certain jobs, or be granted special privileges.
One of these items they may purchase with their earnings or rewards is extra time with the with the LEGO WeDo Education sets in the schools' STEAM-based Innovation Lab .
The LEGO WeDo sets will be introduced during regular Innovation Lab time, but then students may come in during lunch to build models and explore different projects within the WeDo curriculum.
