This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
When my students walk into their classroom, I want them to feel safe and loved. I do my best to set the tone for a wonderful day as soon as we enter the class. I expect them to take great pride in our room, as well as in their work. We work hard from the time we arrive, until it is time to go home. I am a tired teacher at the end of the day, but it is well worth it.
My classroom consists of 20 brilliant 2nd graders from all walks of life.
I have students with special needs, students that are beyond our grade level, and some students that just need a warm smile each morning. No matter what level we are working at, we all respect and learn from one another.
I am thankful each and every day for this group of students. They learn from me, I learn from them, and we love to have a good time!
My Project
A Chromebook will be an excellent addition to our classroom. We are fortunate to have three desktop computers in our classroom, but this Chromebook would allow even more students to use technology and learn as much as they can.
In our class, we use computers for literacy and math centers, Accelerated Reading, our awesome computer program, and much more!
As a teacher, I feel as if the more the students are able to participate in these programs, the more knowledge they can soak in.
This Chromebook will be a tremendous asset to our class and the students will benefit greatly from it!
