Help me give my students a 3D Printer! My students are smart, inquisitive, critical thinkers who are eager to learn using technology. A 3D printer would enable students to visualize, create, problem-solve and become active learners using STEM.

I love my fifth-grade students! They are smart and inquisitive, critical thinkers who are eager to learn using technology. My students thrive on completing authentic learning projects using emerging technologies. This year has brought forth many changes in education, so the integration of technology that encourages active participation, questioning, visuals, and hands-on learning has become an important part of standards-based instruction.
My students love using technology! Hands-on learning activities allow them to become active participants in the learning process. Having access to a 3D printer would enable learners to increase their critical thinking, spatial reasoning, problem-solving, technology, design, and creative coding skills. Another benefit of using a 3D printer is to increase students science, math and art comprehension with an integration of STEM and STEAM. Technology also provides a platform for collaboration and deeper thinking among students.
In the 21st century, it is imperative that students have opportunities to actively engage with 3D technology across the curriculum that supports diverse learning styles and supports standards- based instruction.
Enhancing elementary students technological skills prepares them for success in a highly competitive global and technologically advanced society. The more opportunities that students have to create, explore, visualize,problem-solve and design, the more comfortable and competent they will become with using advanced technologies. To foster and facilitate the use of 3D printing, the manufacturer of this printer provides a k-12 STEAM curriculum for consumers to accompany the classroom use of its product in all content areas, including social studies and English Language Arts.
