My Project

Our first grade team is implementing a new reading curriculum this upcoming school year and I must print all of the needed materials for the reading and language arts centers to go with this curriculum. I am hoping to be able to print, laminate, and store these materials in a way that they can be reused again and again for several years.

This project will help my students to have bright, interesting materials and manipulatives on hand to read and work with throughout their new reading curriculum.

It would also allow me to brightly print the new reading materials, laminate them all, and then store them each in their own bin with a label to be used year after year. I do not like to waste materials or have the time it takes to remake items, so laminating these and having their own bin would be so helpful for their longevity.

As a teacher, it is important to use my time wisely and teach my students to take care of our materials. I feel that this project would certainly help me to use my time in a wiser manner by not reprinting these materials each year. It would also help me to encourage my students to take care of our new materials so that they will last for several years.
