Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has approximately 600 students and 25 classrooms ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. Ninety-seven percent of students qualify for free breakfast and lunch assistance. The average salary in their homes is substantially below the national average. My slogan is "Fun in One.” I teach through my slogan.

The nurturing environment they receive in my classroom for 180 days is just as important as the one they receive at home.

We strive to SOAR every day at our school. Help us be better scholars every day.

My Project

We recently had to quarantine for 10 school days and we had to go distant learning. Our team spent hours learning Google Slides for our scholars to do at home in between our Zoom/Google Meet times. With allowing me to easily use Teachers Pay Teachers Purchase and upload google slides and PowerPoint presentation activities for my students if they or we have to quarantine for 14 days in the future. There are some extremely tech savvy teachers across the United States who can help me learn google slides with activities to support my scholars.
