Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves low income families in Chicago where the majority of students are Hispanic. I have an inclusive preschool classroom which ideally consists of 20 students. We can have up to 7 diverse learner students and 13 general education students. I currently have 4 diverse learners and 6 general education students. Due to the pandemic, we have a very small number of students. I am hoping that I can soon have a complete classroom full of students.

My Project

With this new printer and ink, my students will be able to use their own teacher-created learning materials without the need to share their germs in the classroom with anyone else. We will have unlimited printing access for everything that the students can possibly use throughout all day in the classroom.

Due to the COVID-19 and social distancing, the students are very limited to the hands-on materials that they can use and share in the classroom.

I will be able to print their own work, create all types of charts such as feelings, weather, letters and numbers, which they will be able to use on their own keeping them together in their own personal space versus keeping them stored with other students' materials. Each child gets to keep their own belongings in one spot for only them to use.
