Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach U.S. History and Government to 11th graders in NY. My school is located in an urban center. Over 70 percent of our student population lives under the poverty threshold.

My students need to pass the NY State U.S. History and Government Regents Exam. The majority of my students can not afford to purchase a review book. I would like to use the review book in class and as home work to guarantee that all my student pass the regents, getting them one step closer to graduating from high school and pursuing a college degree.

Obtaining a class set of review books, plus a few extra books to lend to students who would benefit from taking the book home will be a great help for my students to achieve success on the Regents Exam.

Your generous help will ensure that my students pass the U.S. History and Government Regents Exam. Passing this regents exam will guarantee that my students graduate from high school.
