Urgent-Projector Needed for Science!

Help me give my students the ability to make the invisibility of science visible with a much needed projector for my smart board.

My Students

My students are in need of a classroom projector for my smart board. My school is committed to the education of their students and is very active within the community.

My students need a projector for the smart board so that they can take class notes, watch video clips on science topics, and do virtual labs.

This is an urgent matter. So much of science is invisible to the naked eye, but my smart board projector allowed me to make the invisible visible.

I teach 7th grade in Bayside, NY. Many of my students are new to this country and speak a variety of different languages. Each student brings his or her own diverse background and experiences to the classroom. But the one thing they all have in common is there passion to learn. I try to utilize many different learning techniques and strategies to best reach all the students. The ability to do research in the room or watch a relevant video on the topic will only enhance what my students can get from a lesson.

My Project

Until recently, I had a Smartboard with a working projector. Last week that all changed. The projector no longer works and the school tried and was unable to fix it. I am not the first teacher this has happened to. There is a longer list of teachers whose Smartboards no longer work. It is sad when we are provided with technology to make the educational experience better but can not use it due to it no longer working.

My students urgently need a new classroom projector to work interactively with my smart board!

My students are accustomed to coming into the classroom and taking notes off of the smart board. In fact I no longer can use most of the blackboard because the smart board is hanging on it.

My students are used to seeing video clips on science topics as well as doing interactive labs and activities on the smart board. Without the ability to project the work I have, it is much harder for the students to accomplish the learning goals for the day.
