This year I will have the pleasure of having 160 wonderful young 7th grade scientists. They love to get their hands messy in science experiments. With every unit of study, their understanding of the world around them sparks engaging discussions and debates of science. Unfortunately budgets are tight and supplies that were not ordered at the start of the year now cannot be funded. Recently our classroom printer stopped working and I am unable to print differentiated worksheets, tests, project tasks, and laboratory activities. I have always taken great care of the technology given to me by conserving paper and ink, printing only class sets of materials, and posting to my website for reference later. Unfortunately the printer has printed its last page, and this is a huge disservice to my students, as my time is spent running to the library or using other teachers resources rather than planning more engaging activities for them.
