Urgent Distance Learning Is Fully Active We Need Help!
Help me give my students with replacing these crayons, markers, pencils, glue and construction paper needed for their distance learning. The donations for this project will improve classroom academic achievement.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The start of our student’s next school year will be remembered from the Coronavirus pandemic having to cancel and shut down schools in the middle of our school year was devastating. Our students were deeply affected socially, physically, and mentally. Most of our parents were affected during the closures of nonessential workers and being laid off.
During our distance learning zoom meetings, I have about 90% participating and the other 10% of my students are doing paper base learning.
My students are being actively engaged, but I have many students that are having difficulty completing classwork assignments at home due to lack of supplies and resources like books. I want my students to be creative and to be hands on with different activities and projects throughout the rest of the school year.
My Project
Replacing these crayons, markers, pencils, glue and construction paper needed for our distance learning, in addition to repurchasing school supplies due to school closures because of the Corona-virus will be a tremendous strain on the families, and in some cases impossible. The donations for this project will improve distance learning academic achievement as it is important that the students have the necessary school supplies in order to have a successful distance learning platform. My students will use their supplies for completing classwork assignments and projects.
As a teacher, it is my utmost responsibility to create a stress free learning environment for all of my students.
Our parents and students have so much to be worried about; educational needs should not be one of those worries.
