My students need 50 quality Spanish book titles to read in class. I have a dual language Spanish class and it is very hard to obtain books in Spanish.

My Students

Reading is such a wonderful thing, it takes us places we have never been before, well imagine you can read in two languages. Unfortunately for my students good quality Spanish books are hard to get and they are twice as expensive.

My students are bilingual in Spanish and English.

They attend a NYC public school. Most of my students cannot afford to buy Spanish books, in fact there are not many places that sell them. My students love reading. Independent reading is often their favorite time of the day. It's amazing to see how my students love reading in Spanish and I would be amazing to be able to provide new and interesting books to our class library.

My Project

My student's will benefit tremendously with these Spanish books in non fiction, literature, biography, fiction and science. These books such as Judy Moody, The Magic Tree House, Harry Potter among others will keep my students interested and focused on reading. Help me give my students a love for reading.

Research shows that knowledge of other languages boosts students' understanding of languages in general and enables students to use their native language more effectively.

This applies to specific language skills as well as overall linguistic abilities. Please help my class achieve the benefits of reading.
