This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
By nature, pre-k students are excitable, kinesthetic learners. While my students have a small outdoor playground, they don't have space to enjoy the outdoors in more calming ways.
With your help, I would like to give my students their own urban oasis within the concrete jungle.
The water table, sandbox, and sand toys will allow for tranquil outdoor fun for those who don't want to run. For those who need to get the wiggles out- there will be balance bikes! And for those who need a moment of zen, the outdoor house, picnic tables, and aradack chairs will lend a helping seat to catch their breath, to work outside, and for pretend play.
