My Project

Our library media center is transitioning into a new, creative makerspace and we need your help. Our school is a STEM academy and focuses on technology and engineering. The makerspace needs to be a learning environment where students design, build, test and redesign prototypes and products they invent to solve the problems in the world around them. Donors Choose supporters have generously helped us to put many resources in place, including a number of iPads used to program our Sphero BOLTS and Tello Drones. What we need now are cases to protect the iPads and pencils to assist with coding on the go.

The sixth and eighth grade students love coding!

Coding with the iPads could be fun but we need protect our devices. Students move around the classroom and even the building when they are testing their programs. We are coding our robots and drones to move around the building to take attendance reports to the main office and even to deliver packages. This is exciting stuff! What we don't want to happen is that a device is damaged as students work. We have made substantial investments in our makerspace with the help of DonorsChoose supporters and we want to protect that investment as we continue to make our space even better.
