My Students

My high school students see art as a creative outlet where they are able to express themselves while in school. They are inspired by contemporary and historical art and artists and by the freedom of choice in art making. I hope to be able to explore many different units and lessons pertaining to various different types of art including but not limited to: textiles, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, and painting. This project will help us obtain those supplies for future lessons so that students can explore the arts and all its different disciplines!

My Project

These materials will help aid in units and lessons in a variety of artistic disciplines to ensure my students get a holistic and diverse art experience. These materials will allow me to explore units/lessons with needle felting, embroidery, printmaking, cyanotypes, ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.

My goal is to make sure that my students become well rounded artists and that they understand the various avenues of visual arts.

With these materials, students will be able to expand their artistic knowledge further by being able to explore artistic processes and use materials previous unavailable to them.
