Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a diverse group of special education students in a self contained classroom setting. Many require frequent comprehension checks for understanding and significant modifications to the core curriculum. They deserve for their teacher to be more actively involved in their lessons without interrupting the flow of the class by stopping to leave and return back to the smartboard every two minutes.
My Project
In order to teach technology based programs to my students I do so from my laptop which is attached to the smartboard in my classroom.
Please help me break free from standing at the board while teaching and allow me the freedom to walk around the room more to teach.
With this IPAD I will be able to check on student work more frequently and be more accessible to answer questions. Circulating the room more frequently will also allow me to make sure each student is on task and learning. If a student is struggling I will be able to help them in a more timely manner while never losing control of the lesson. No More stopping the flow of the class because I will be able to leave the smartboard station and control everything from my fingertips anywhere in the room! WOOOOO HOOOOO
