Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The walls of a classroom are constantly updated. The furniture is usually overlooked, but can have a major impact on classroom atmosphere.

Within my school district, the desks have become downright dangerous for my students.

The desks frequently break, resulting in the full collapse of the desk or a permanent jagged edge on the desk. It is downright unsafe.

With this project, I would like to give my students tables and chairs as opposed to desks. This would allow them to work in groups much easier, and will make the flow of traffic in my room much more conducive to student activity.
