This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Eighth grade is a pivotal year in a students educational journey. My students are bright and eager to learn. They are funny and talented and do not let their special educational challenges hinder them from always trying. A new laptop computer will help me access various educational platforms and address all my diverse student needs.
My Project
Technology is an essential part of any profession, especially education and the current changes in the system due to COVID-19. I am currently working with an outdated software system on my laptop and this can be very challenging for implementing new and improved programs in the remote world of teaching. I also have to complete IEP's for my students. This has been no easy task. I'm asking for a new laptop computer to enhance my planning, lessons, and teaching for remote and in-person teaching.
A new laptop would enhance my teaching by allowing me to download pivotal educational programs and plan engaging differentiated lessons to meet all my students needs.
As my use of technology has grown and blossomed this year, my laptop cannot keep up with me. This is unfortunate because I have learned so many new and exciting strategies to help my students access the general education curriculum that I cannot implement.
Education has forever been changed due to COVID-19 and as a teacher who looks for positivity I am taking these technological acquired skills into the future. Help me to give my students the best of the best during this age new of technology in the classroom.
