During this time of remote learning, students are relying on routines and teachers to bring back a little normalcy to their lives. To keep students motivated it is important to vary lessons and be able to tailor them to my students specific needs. Teaching special education in the Bronx, my 8th grade students are struggling and not attending school. By getting an Apple iPad, math will become easier for me to teach and my students to learn.
I can do some amazing things for my students with an Apple iPad. I can create interactive lessons that can be shared, share videos, and share interactive websites that will keep my students motivated. I would have the ability to share my screen and write on parts of the lesson to facilitate learning styles. I will be able to model problems, take pictures of the problems, and then post them on google classroom. Most importantly, I can show math processes, not just the answers.
This year has been incredibly hard on teachers and students. Teachers are depending on kind donors like yourselves to support us. NYC cut funding that used to be given to teachers for their students. This year more than ever is when we need it the most. Thank you in advance.
