My Project
Thank you very much for your interest in helping my students upgrade some dilapidated old PCs with current hardware so that we can make use of them in our technology classroom. Some of this new hardware includes M.2 hard drives, RAM memory sticks, a new processor for one of the machines, power supplies, new mice, compressed air for cleaning the components, and thermal paste for installing our processors.
In small groups, my students and I will be taking inventory of the hardware components that we currently have and the components that we need to upgrade these old systems into useful classroom computers, and we will build them from scratch together.
My students will learn about the various hardware components that comprise a PC, while understanding the costs and maintenance that these systems require. Finally, they will learn how to assemble a PC all by themselves!
