Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are superstars! We have such a great community of students and families. They are hard workers, with dreams of success for their future. Ninety-nine percent of our scholars qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. For many of them, English is not their primary language. We try our best to create an environment of loving learning, especially literacy. Our students get very excited whenever we get new supplies in our classroom. Thank you in advance for thinking of us!
My Project
I am requesting a 4th edition Wilson Reading Systems kit as well as supplemental word card materials to make sure that our students are learning from the most up to date materials that are offered. I am specifically requesting: high frequency word cards, WRS word cards, and WRS word element & syllable cards. The Wilson Reading Program just poured a ton of research into creating these materials from the top reading specialists in the country. We want to make sure our students aren't left behind and have all that they need to become stronger readers. By donating to our project you will give our kids the state of the art materials to improve their reading skills in the classroom and at home.
