Up Close and Personal

Help me give my students a V4K Ultra High Definition USB camera and white board cleaner to enhance the technology in our classroom. The document camera enables our students to easily view materials from text books.

My Students

I am blessed with 25 highly motivated fifth graders who are eager to learn. My students love to explore growth mindset, leadership characteristics, and are always happy to serve others. Many of these amazing students spend their recesses enhancing their friendships with their "buddies" who are students in our autism classes.

On a daily basis, my students demonstrate their love of learning and willingness to help others in need.

I always look forward to working with each and every student in my classroom.

My Project

After teaching for 32 years, I can honestly say a document camera has enhanced the teaching in my classroom tremendously. Unfortunately my beloved technology is now over 15 years old and needs to be replaced. I truly don't know what I would do with out this piece of technology due to the drastic funding cuts over the last several years. With this technology, I can place literature and historical texts under the document camera and zoom in for all of my students to see the text clearly - even from the back of the room! I no longer just read aloud to students from our favorite books - the students can actually follow along as I read and point to the words in the text.

I look forward to using our new document camera to analyze "The Gettysburg Address", the "I Have a Dream" speech and many more inspirational and historic texts.
