This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach third grade in a low-income area with some of the best kids I have ever met. I have 24 eager students that are ready to learn each and every day.
I am an up close and personal teacher. I want the students near me when I teach so I rarely have the students sitting at their desk during a whole group activity. Most of the time you will find the students sitting up close to me while I am giving a lesson.
My class needs an easel that is magnetic and can be used to hang charts from. An easel will provide a resource that is at students eye level and the easel can also be moved around the room which will allow a better view for the students to see. I will use the easel for interactive lessons, modeling writing, practicing math, reading charts, and hanging resource materials.
Your help will ensure that my students can visually see resources as well as provide my students with the up close and personal teaching style that I find effective in my classroom.
More than half of students from low‑income households
